A workshop for painting beginners. Have you always wanted to paint but don't know where to start? Find art suppliers difficult to negotiate? What is the difference between water-colour and acrylics anyway? How do I get started with oils and is there a difference in all the canvases? When do I use Aquarelle pencils? What is impasto, glazing and gesso and what kind of brushes will I need?
All these questions and more will be answered while experimenting with a variety of medium, getting to grips with painting terminology and a general introduction to colour.
Included in the course will be a handy identification list, a variety of internet stockists, valuation of materials, average prices and some valuable recommendations from practising artists.
