Les Tuileries is currently holding an exhibition which features Surrey based artist Alex Dragovic and Brighton based artist Natalie Martin.
Natalie Martin has a background in Sculpture but realised her passion for painting after graduating with a BA in Fine Art.“My work explores the idea of urban decay and domestic neglect as sources of beauty and reverence expressed as acrylic on canvas paintings”. Natalie first showed her paintings at the Brighton Art Fair in 2007 and has had work accepted by the Bath Society of Artists and the Royal Academy in 2008.
Surrey based Artist Alex Dragovic, originally from Serbia has produced a series of contemporary and traditional painted religious icons which he hopes will convey his Christian beliefs and spirituality. With a haunting and yet absorbing style the icons are classically embellished with gold. Also showing are his beautiful landscapes, evocative of his homeland which he loves for the wildness of nature and the harshness of winter.
Les Tuileries inspiring Art & Design gallery is based in Dorking in Surrey, just forty mintutes from London Victoria & Waterloo station. Housed within a beautiful 16th Century building, the gallery offers the juxtaposition of an old beamed building with stunning contemporary art and design.
Showcasing the work of both emerging talent and well established artists, Les Tuileries hosts a wide variety of painting, sculpture, photography, Ceramics, Glassware, textiles and object d'art.
