Following on from course no. 1, our two day workshop will look at more ways in which to imrove essential observation skills, accuracy and speed. Experimenting with a variety of exciting subject matter, the aim is to encourage selection and emphasis as a means of increasing focus. With reference to artists from Holbein to Hurst we will learn how to 'draw the viewers eye' through a composition, re-define the weight of a line and increase tone towards confident and dramatic work. For those students still new to drawing or improvers requiring a fresh eye, this course aims to understand the tricks of the trade that distinguish an amateur from a proffesional.
All materials will be provided.
