"Artists are born and not made".....not so, experience shows that it is learning to SEE the world in a different way that is the key.
Our intensive two day course in drawing is aimed at absolute beginners or those with only 'school day' knowledge. With reference to the Old Masters and some exciting contemporary artists we will look at drawing terminology a variety of materials and basic techniques including tone, form, mark-making and composition.
For those students terrified of drawing stick figures, our whistle stop tour will include excercises in still life, portraiture and sketching the landscape.
Relaxed, informal and fun, Les Tuileries offers a safe haven to share embarrassing mistakes, lose the fear and prove that you do have an artistic bone in your body!
All materials will be provided but please bring an apron or work shirt.
